L\&rsquo;auteure a voulu mettre en relief la complexit{\'e} de ce rapport primordial dans la vie de toute femme, rapport fait {\`a} la fois d\&rsquo;amour et de haine, de tendresse et de cruaut{\'e}, de grandeurs et de petitesses. Tout comme elle jette un regard lucide, sans mi{\`e}vrerie, sur les liens entre m{\`e}re et fille.<br /><br />Divis{\'e} en quatre actes, le texte est compos{\'e} de courts tableaux. Il ne s\&rsquo;agit pas {\`a} proprement parler d\&rsquo;une pi{\`e}ce de th{\'e}{\^a}tre, avec des personnages distincts {\`a} qui sont assign{\'e}es des r{\'e}pliques. La narration est assum{\'e}e par une voix f{\'e}minine, mais on ne sait pas si c\&rsquo;est la m{\^e}me voix ou si ce sont des voix diff{\'e}rentes qu\&rsquo;on trouve d\&rsquo;un acte {\`a} l\&rsquo;autre. Peu importe, en v{\'e}rit{\'e}, puisque le texte veut pr{\'e}senter des m{\`e}res qui sont des filles et des filles qui sont des m{\`e}res, dans une g{\'e}n{\'e}alogie imm{\'e}moriale de filles et de m{\`e}res.
